There are two categories: Years 5 & 6 and Years 7 & 8, with a maximum of five entries per category. Work was entered from:
- Eddie B and Sam S in Year 5
- Edward H, Max R and Filip S in Year 6
- Hugh B, Janek C & Toby T (joint piece) Hector G and Sam R from Year 8.
The Private view and prize giving was held on the evening of Wednesday 21st March and, as always, the work on display was of a very high standard and Lanesborough boys had produced very strong pieces.
There are four prizes on offer in each category – Highly Commended, Third, Second and First place.
We were unlucky to lose out to other local Prep schools in the Years 5 & 6 categories but I am delighted to report that Hugh B was awarded Third place with a fabulous self-portrait made out of nails, and Sam R was awarded First place for his fabulous, massively enlarged drawing of a beetroot.
Huge congratulations to all the boys who entered their work and especially to Hugh and Sam.
Thank you to the parents who were able to make it on the night.
Finally, a special thank you to Mrs Threlfall, who very kindly delivered all the competition pieces to King Edward’s – we couldn’t have done it without you.
