Two teams from Lanesborough Preparatory School took part in an annual Maths Quiz hosted by St. John’s School this week. The boys competed against other local Prep Schools and undertook various tasks.
The first round was a Team Problem-Solving round which saw teams working in pairs or threes to solve as many as possible in 20 minutes. Next came the Make 24 round when teams were given 4 numbers and the 4 rules to create 24. The boys showed true resilience and worked through the increasingly tricky groups of numbers and then, in the final Relay round, Lanesborough’s first team took the lead, and the trophy!
Lanesborough’s second also did extremely well and solved some challenging problems throughout the competition.
