On 3 November a packed Recital Room was treated to a stunning recital of music for two pianos performed by our Head of Keyboard, Jan Newman, and Maureen Galea. Consisting mostly of music by French composers, the audience was captivated by the outstanding levels of musicianship on display. Notable highlights included Ravel’s Ma mère l’Oye and Milhaud’s Scaramouche.
This was an evening of music making of the highest quality and reminded us all how lucky and privileged we are to have such inspirational performers at the heart of the department.
