In Nursery and Shell (Reception) we aim to provide an environment which is positive, inclusive and safe. A range of stimulating activities and equipment enable each child to learn through first-hand experience.
We recognise that young boys display many characteristics which are special and unique. They are usually lively and curious about the world around them. Thus, our learning environment is tailored to boys, offering plenty of action and a hands-on approach to learning.
We follow the statutory framework provided by the Department for Education for Early Years providers to help them support learning and development from birth to five years old. In addition, the Shell boys have a French lesson each week and both Shell and Nursery have a drama and games lesson with specialist teachers.
Our learning takes place both inside and outside, following a two-year rolling topic plan.
