In its second year, the Advent Service has become a standout event in the Michaelmas Term, taking place by candlelight in the atmospheric setting of Holy Trinity Church. Whilst it is the central Christian season of expectation and preparation as the Church prepares to celebrate the coming of Christ, its perennial message of hope and renewal make this particular service an occasion for those of all faiths and of none. Interspersed with readings and reflections on the meaning of Advent, the musical aspects of the service were led by the RGS Schola Cantorum. The service showcased exceptional musicianship and made it a truly special event.
