Anchors away as we set sail for the annual Drama Club’s production of Pirates of the Curry Bean last week. This hilarious pirate adventure highly amused the audience who laughed throughout the play at the cringe-worthy jokes.
Featuring a cast of 37 Year 5 & 6 boys – we followed the story of mother Pearl, kidnapped by Pirates, who steal a treasure map and then set sail on the Curry Bean on a voyage of adventure that takes them from Old London Docks to the mysterious island of Lumbago in the Sea of Sciatica. The race is on to rescue Pearl, reclaim the map and find the treasure. The cast performed brilliantly and both sang and danced along to featured songs, ‘Pot of Gold’ and ‘Lumbago’. It was evident that the cast and backstage crew enjoyed participating in this swashbuckling adventure!
