We are delighted that you are considering RGS Prep for your son.
Our main intake year groups are:
- Nursery (joining the September after your son turns 3)
- Shell/Reception (joining the September after your son turns 4)
- Year 3 (joining the September after your son turns 7)

All boys wishing to join RGS Prep will sit an academic assessment.
Dates for ad hoc assessments are not featured in our calendar – please call 01483 880489 to have a chat in the first instance.
Our Assessments for a September 2023 start have now been completed. Any assessments outside of these date are subject to arrangement with our Admissions Manager, Mrs Vicky Hills.
For a September 2024 start, our assessment dates are:
NURSERY (30-45 minute assessment)
Saturday 20 January 2024 You will be allocated a session sometime between 9.00am and 2.00pm
SHELL / RECEPTION (45 minute – 1 hour assessment)
Saturday 25 November 2023
You will be allocated a session sometime between 9.00am and 2.00pm
YEAR 3
Saturday 11 November 2023
9.00am – 12.00pm
If you would like your son to take part in any of our assessments, please register him first. You will then be sent more details about the assessment process. Please note any registrations submitted 2 weeks prior to the assessment dates cannot be processed.
