Ski Trip

Day 1 – The boys have settled in brilliantly and had their first outing on the slopes today. Conditions were warm and not a great deal of snow lower down. However, the higher you go the snow is delightful and our instructors have been amazing with the boys. For dinner tonight we had squid which wasn’t the most favourable for every boy. Looking forward to day 2 tomorrow where we can all hone our skills further and enjoy some ten pin bowling in the evening.

Day 2 – We woke up to a fresh helping of snow followed by scrambled egg and chicken sausages for breakfast. The hot chocolate machine proved a popular option. The boys were excited by the days skiing and led the teachers down the first couple of runs. An afternoon snowball fight was met with great excitement until Mr Dwyer was blindsided, much to his displeasure. The evening activity was bowling and the games arcade, where boys tested their skills on air hockey and basketball shoot outs. Roast beef for dinner followed by the England V Belgium match. A brilliant day had by all.

Day 3 – An enormous amount of snow overnight brought the resort back to life with complete white out conditions for most of the day. Boys now had to navigate a different type of snow, with many of them buried beneath the surface of the snow before the morning session had even started. A hearty lunch and dinner followed by a quiz night and some well earnt downtime before our final day. 4 hours of skiing to go, with laser tag and the end of the week awards to come tomorrow.
