Art Club Drop In
Open to all boys who would like to catch up or drop-in to carry on with artwork during lunchtime.
Pre Prep Choir
Pre-Prep choir is directed by Mrs Ford and Mr Moore, sub organist of Guildford Cathedral. Boys prepare for performances in the Nativity and Christmas Tree Concert.
Sewing Club
Come and learn some basic sewing skills. We will work together to create something special for you to take home at the end of a few weeks. We might even sew on a label!
Football Club
Sport4Kids are delighted to offer a football club for RGS Prep’s Year 1 & 2 boys. The club will be run by our caring, enthusiastic and qualified coaches on Wednesday afternoons between 3.30pm-4.30pm. Sport4Kids have a great pedigree within football coaching, catering for all abilities through our whole-child approach to learning. This club takes place in the Prep Sports Hall. Please collect from the Prep Sports Hall doors.

When did you join the RGS? Sept 2020
What’s the best thing about the RGS? Its community! The boys are fantastic learners, and the common room is friendly and supportive. The RGS is a very exciting place to be.
What excites you most about coming into work each day? I am sharing my passion for music with talented colleagues and students. It doesn’t feel like work at all!
What’s your life philosophy/motto in life? “Vivamus, moriendum est”, because it’s easy to lose perspective on what truly matters.
If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? If I could, I would get a studentship, go back to University, and start a PhD.
What luxury would you have on a desert island? A piano of course! Tuned, please…
If you could choose one superhuman ability what would it be? Flying! I am following Saint-Excupery’s dream.
What’s your favourite film and why? My favourite film is a very cheesy romantic comedy, I couldn’t possibly reveal its title!
Do you have any phobias? I’ve become acrophobic with age, but I’m working on it… Last Summer, I went on a via ferrata called ‘The Ladders of Death’! I was a bit scared to start with, but I did it!
What’s the strangest thing in your fridge at the moment? Cancoillotte! Google it…
What is your favourite ice-cream flavour? Chocolate, always!
Which actor/actress would you get to play you in a film of your life? Romy Schneider when she was in her 30s.

When did you join RGS Prep? 2008.
What’s the best thing about the RGS Prep? Working with wonderful boys and colleagues.
What excites you most about coming into work each day? Each day is different!
What luxury would you have on a desert island? A pillow. If I could have two luxuries, the other one would be music as I love dancing.
What’s your favourite film and why? Steel Magnolias because it has great one-liners from great actresses.
What food will you absolutely not, under any circumstances, eat? Brussell sprouts and snails!

What excites you most about coming into work each day? The variety of work I do and the different pupils I meet.

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? A private chef to cook my dinner!
What luxury would you have on a desert island? A superyacht.
If you could choose one superhuman ability what would it be? I would love to fly!
Do you have any phobias? Ants – I stay indoors on flying ant day.

When did you join RGS Prep? 2019.
What excites you most about coming into work each day? The friendly atmosphere, hearing the incredible sounds of the music coming from the music room next door and seeing my fantastic class, 3R!
What luxury would you have on a desert island? A comfortable bed.
What animal most reflects your personality? A pet dog. Happy, loyal and loves to go for walks.
If you could choose one superhuman ability what would it be? To breathe underwater.
What’s your favourite film and why? Finding Nemo. “Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming…”
Do you have any phobias? Heights.
What’s the strangest thing in your fridge at the moment? An eye mask.
What would your autobiography be entitled? Curly.
What is your favourite ice-cream flavour? Mint choc chip.
What food will you absolutely not, under any circumstances, eat? Frogs legs.
If you could be any cartoon character who would you be? Marge Simpson – it’s the hair!

What’s the best thing about RGS Prep? The staff and boys – it is like one big happy family, everyone is enthusiastic and interested in learning.
What excites you most about coming into work each day? Chatting to the amazing Year 3 team and then welcoming the boys into the classroom- they always have something to say that makes me smile.
What’s your life philosophy/motto in life? Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today!
If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? My own allocated parking space. It would take away some of the stress when I get stuck on the A3 in the morning.
What luxury would you have on a desert island? My piano and a big pile of music – I have never been very good at playing from memory, oh, and a lipstick! Is that too many items?
What’s your favourite film and why? I am not a huge fan of football but “Bend It like Beckham” is my favourite film. It brings back happy memories of watching it when my children were teenagers.
What’s the strangest thing in your fridge at the moment? A bottle of Super Glue. I read somewhere that if you keep it in the fridge, it lasts for much longer…It’s true, it works!
What is your favourite ice-cream flavour? Praline and Cream, Haagan-Dazs. I could eat the whole tub in one go.
Which actor/actress would you get to play you in a film of your life? Emilia Clarke- she has the best smile!
