Which actor/actress would you get to play you in a film of your life?

Jodie Comer- I absolutely love her style and dress sense.

What food will you absolutely not, under any circumstances, eat?

When did you join RGS Prep? October 2016

What’s the best thing about RGS Prep? The people, all boys and staff. We are one big happy family and a great team.

What excites you most about coming into work each day? No two days are the same. I love witnessing the boys grow into confident, polite, well-mannered young people. Music lesson schedules can be exciting – timetabling 215 music lessons every week across our 16 Visiting Music Teachers’ timetables! I take pleasure in resolving clashes and making the seemingly impossible possible.

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? A complimentary spa treatment once a month.

What luxury would you have on a desert island? Red wine!

What animal most reflects your personality? A dog.

What’s your favourite film and why? Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hilarious right from the first words uttered! Beautiful friendships and scenery. Memories of similar occasions back in the 80s.

What food will you absolutely not, under any circumstances, eat? Tripe – tried it once, never again!

If you could be any cartoon character who would you be? Muttley.

What’s your life philosophy/motto in life? Be kind and considerate, try not to judge, you never know what is happening in someone else’s life.

When did you join RGS Prep? 2015

What’s the best thing about RGS Prep? Everyone learns together. Expectations are high. Support is readily available. This creates a driven team atmosphere that benefits everyone.

What excites you most about coming into work each day? I know I will make a real difference to at least one person, maybe more.

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? It would be to bring my horse onto the school playing fields for one day in Trinity term so that everyone could pat and admire him!

What luxury would you have on a desert island? A superyacht. Sorry – obvious!

What’s your favourite film and why? Everest for its breathtaking footage of a mountain with which I am a little bit obsessed.

What’s your life philosophy/motto in life? My very favourite quotation of all time is the one by Antoine de Saint-Exupery that sums up the dream! “If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up the men to gather wood, divide the work, and give orders. Instead, teach them to yearn for the vast and endless sea.”

When did you join the RGS? April 2021

What’s the best thing about the RGS? The best thing about the RGS is the people I work with. I smile every day and I laugh every day, that’s important. It’s such a treat to work in the town centre and to be able to walk up and down the high street, especially when the sun is shining.

What excites you most about coming into work each day? It might sound ridiculous, but I am always excited for lunch time. Our catering team do an incredible job and I always enjoy the great meals provided.

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? Being able to fully register faces I see in my dreams and know for certain who I believe I have seen is who I know.

What luxury would you have on a desert island? Although not a luxury to anyone else, it would have to be my childhood teddy bear, Jerry. He was in my cot when I was born and still resides on my bed now.

What’s your favourite film and why? The Road to El Dorado. The film has a great soundtrack, I love the vibrancy of the film’s artistic design and the storyline is great too. It challenges friendship and morals. I watch it when I’m down and it never fails to make me smile.

Which actor/actress would you get to play you in a film of your life? Angelina Jolie.

What food will you absolutely not, under any circumstances, eat? Jellied Eels. I’ve tried them, and I won’t ever again.

If you could be any cartoon character, who would you be? Simon’s Cat.

What’s your life philosophy/motto in life? I don’t chase, I attract. What belongs to me will simply find me.
