At the end of February the RGS was inspected by ISI, The Independent Schools Inspectorate, which reports to the Department for Education.
Their report is divided into two parts. The first is the Regulatory Compliance Inspection for which the Inspectors review the School’s policies, procedures and records against the Independent School Standards. We are pleased to report that every standard was met. Read the highlights here and the full report below.
The second part of the inspection report focuses on educational quality with two overall categories: the quality of pupils’ academic and other achievements, and the quality of their personal development. We are delighted to report that the inspectors graded the School Excellent, the highest possible rating, in each of these areas.
The report highlights the outstanding achievements of our students in their academic and co-curricular pursuits, their extraordinary commitment to the wider community, and their loyalty to and pride in the School. Most pleasingly of all, the report captures the very essence and spirit which makes the RGS such a close-knit and special community where the culture of humility and decency, tolerance and mutual respect is noted as a defining quality.
