RGS Prep has been a hive of activity in recent weeks with fixtures, lessons and swimming events. From rugby matches at Bradstone Brook to impressive performances in the swimming pool, the boys have embraced every challenge with determination and team spirit.
Our U9s had an unforgettable experience at Bradstone Brook, our senior school pitches, where they faced off against Milbourne Lodge and Cranmore in a series of hotly contested rugby matches.
The U11 Blue A team took on a strong and well-organised Highfield side. After their impressive showing at the Danes Hill festival, this fixture served as a valuable learning experience, highlighting areas for growth. Meanwhile, the U11 Green squad enjoyed a competitive and rewarding afternoon of rugby.
Training has remained a key focus, with our IAPS squad trials and timed events producing excellent performances. Selection decisions will certainly be tough! Our U8s also had an enjoyable training session, culminating in a series of mini-matches that allowed them to apply their developing skills in a fun setting.
In the pool, our swimmers gave it their all in a closely contested gala against St Catherine’s, demonstrating resilience and commitment. A thrilling U10 House Swimming Gala brought out the competitive spirit in all participants.
A special congratulations to Walter for receiving the U10 Swimming Champion Shield from Wey Valley Swimming Club – a fantastic achievement reflecting his dedication to the sport.
We wish the pupils the best of luck in their upcoming netball fixture against St Catherine’s, as well as our U9 and U11 teams travelling to Chiswick for a rugby festival at King’s House. With the rugby season in full swing, it has been inspiring to see the boys develop their skills, embrace teamwork and push themselves to new heights. We are excited for what’s to come in the second half of the Lent Term.
