For working families, wraparound care is often the difference between a calm week and a chaotic one. Here is how our breakfast and after school clubs work, and how they support families across Guildford and Surrey.
A calm start: Breakfast Club
From 7.30am, Monday to Friday, RGS Prep children enjoy a relaxed breakfast of porridge, fruit, cereal and toast before the school day begins. It is the perfect gentle start, and there is more detail on our wraparound care page.
The school day
Once the day begins, our youngest children follow a timetable balanced between play, learning and rest. You can see a full timetable on our School Day page.
After school care until 6.30pm
After school, children can take part in activities such as Kapla Club and Playball, enjoy a healthy snack, then wind down with quieter activities before collection, any time up to 6.30pm.
Who it is for and how to book
Wraparound care is available for all pupils at RGS Prep from Nursery to Year 6 from 7.30m to 6.30pm.
We offer after school class in both the Pre-Prep and Prep Years called ‘Lates’ at no extra cost. Pre-Prep can book into lates until 4.30pm and Prep can book in for pick-up at 4.45pm. There is further after school provision run by a company called ActivSport, which is available until either 5.30pm or 6.30pm. This can be booked directly through ActivSport’s website.
