Physical Education and Games Department Kit List

RGS PE and sports kit is provided exclusively by Tacklebag and is mostly manufactured by Canterbury of New Zealand. The kit is of high quality, is made with comfort and performance in mind, and is also made to last. Clothing, together with selected items of sports equipment, can be purchased online (details below) or at regular sales days held at the School. Students will not be permitted to take part in Games or PE in incorrect kit. Students choose between athletics and cricket in the Trinity Term and will therefore require only the appropriate kit.

PE lessons

Students require a school PE polo shirt, school white PE shorts, short white socks and trainers.

Sports kit

For all sports, students require school black tracksuit bottoms and either a school black rain jacket or a school grey hoodie. An optional red school t-shirt is also available to purchase.

Rugby kit

Students require a school rugby shirt (red and green hoops), school rugby shorts, school red socks, rugby boots and a gum shield.

Hockey kit

Students wear the same polo shirt and white shorts as for PE lessons. In addition, students require school red socks, hockey astro boots, shin pads and a gum shield.

Cricket kit

Students require a school cricket shirt, school cricket trousers, a box, and trainers or cricket boots with studs.

Cross-country and Athletics kit

Parents Association Second Hand Uniform Sale

The Parents Association runs an RGS second-hand uniform store, with all proceeds donated to the School for extra-curricular equipment. In the most recent year, over £15,000 was donated towards items including robotics kits, manikins for first aid training, a PA system, cross-country timing equipment and football banner goals.

The store takes in and sells all branded RGS goods, including blazers, jumpers and all sports uniform. Goods can either be donated with 100% of the proceeds returned to the School, or donated and labelled with 35% returned to the donor and 65% to the School.

The store is also open on the first Saturday of each half term; reminders are included in the Tuesday mailing letters.

About the Parents Association

The Parents Association is a lively and welcoming group that runs social events for parents as well as the second-hand uniform store. The Association meets once every half term and always welcomes new active members; dates are published in the RGS e-comms on Tuesdays.

Parents interested in helping or finding out more are invited to email Peta-Anne Barrow (p.barrow@rgsg.co.uk) or Allison Ackermann (a.ackermann@rgsg.co.uk).
